This morning I awoke to birds chirping and a gray, but brightening sky. Driving down the Pike to Southie was a glorious event, as the sun painted red and orange across all the beautiful buildings in Downtown. It was so peaceful, much more so than I had experienced this past year. The NPR announcer's soothing voice completed the mise-en-scene, and I arrived at school in a vibrant mood.
I'm happier, and therefore teach better. The kids are happier, and therefore learn more. Why can't everyday be spring?
